1976, in Chicago, Illinois.
After
dominating high school sports, Donovan McNabb entered
college as a two-sport athlete. He went on to have a
successful career at Syracuse and was named football's Big
East Offensive Player of the Decade. Since becoming an NFL
starting quarterback, McNabb has appeared in four straight
Pro Bowl teams and has helped the Philadelphia Eagles become
Super Bowl contenders.
McNabb
was selected second overall in the '99 NFL entry draft. By the end of
his rookie season, he had taken over as the starting quarterback of
the Philadelphia Eagles. He has since gone on to lead the Eagles to
three straight NFC title games and has appeared in four consecutive
Pro Bowls (2000-'03).
McNabb has also
nabbed several sponsors, including Campbell's Soup, Pepsi, Lincoln
Financial Group, and DirectTV.
