Jim Brown
came out of Syracuse University as an All-America choice in
1956. He was the Browns' No. 1 draft pick in 1957. Brown was
the NFL's leading rusher in eight of his nine NFL seasons.
He was named to the All-NFL team eight times. Brown was the
NFL's Most Valuable Player in 1958 and '65. He was the NFL's
Rookie of the Year in 1957 and played in nine straight Pro
Bowls.

career totals were: 12,312 yards rushing, 262 receptions and
15,459 combined net yards. Brown scored 756 points in his
career. Brown holds the Browns' record for the most combined
net yards, most career yards rushing, most points in one
season (126), career touchdowns (126), most consecutive
games scoring a touchdown (10) and most 1,000-yard seasons
(seven). Brown had 58 games in which he rushed for 100 or
more yards. His 106 rushing touchdowns is also a club
record. His 5.22 average per rushing attempt is an NFL
record.

No. 32 was retired by the Browns. He was the second-youngest
player ever inducted into the Hall of Fame at age 35 behind
Gayle Sayers, who was inducted at age 34.
